Capilla Jerónimo de Carrión is linked to the Music Research Section of the Don Juan de Borbón de Segovia Foundation and is conducted by Alicia Lázaro. Since 1997, the group has worked in the recovery of the rich unpublished heritage residing in Spanish archives, especially those linked to the Cathedral of Segovia and other archives of Castile-Leon.
Four recordings, Calendas, el tiempo en las Catedrales (VRS2008), Ecos y afectos (VRS2024, Choc de la Musique Prize), Ah de los elementos (VRS2058) and Alienta mortal, alienta (VRS2107), on the Versa label, testify to the qualities of this group, which the field’s press hails for the quality and varied colors of its vocal and instrumental ensemble, as well as the elegance with which this completely unknown repertoire is brought to light.
