L’Ampastratta was born in 2015 as a result of their members’ interest in the interpretation of the Early Music, being a very heterogeneous group of young musicians, both for their concerns and their specialties.
The members of L’Ampastratta have come to a continuous work, both in the search and in the improvement of the instrumental and vocal music of the Spanish and Italian Baroque.
This group consists of six young performers, all of them professional musicians in their respective specialties: voice, recorder, baroque violin, baroque viola, baroque cello, plucked instruments of the Renaissance and the Baroque, harpsichord and historical percussion.
As a whole, they have received training from Luis Antonio González Marín, Manfredo Kraemer and Erik Bosgraaf, in Valencia, Murcia and Amsterdam respectively.
They have performed in places such as the National Archaeological Museum (MAN) of Madrid and the Greco Museum of Toledo (in the MusaE Project of 2017 and 2019 respectively). In 2018 they were selected as an Emerging Group in the Renaissance Festival, organized by Capella de Ministrers Cultural Foundation. That year, they participated as a Resident Group in the International Early Music Festival of Sierra Espuña (ECOS Festival).
At the present time, they are immersed in the recording of their first album.
